Marcus Troy Marcus is a New York–based, award-winning veteran actor. Originally from the Washington, D.C., area, Marcus attended Catholic University, where he studied theater under Gitta Honegger. After moving to New York, he played Captain Beatty in 4.5.1., an original adaptation by Kenneth Hunn; George/Valentina in Casa Valentina at the Heights Players; and the King in The King Is Dead, Long Live the King by Connor Wilson at the NY Theater Festival, where he won the Best Actor Award. Most recently, he completed a run as Solicitor Hammond in Alibi: An Agatha Christie Story by Amy Kaissar at Bristol Riverside Theatre. This original adaptation of Dostoyevsky’s The Brothers Karamazov, Book X, is an artistic feast for the senses. It’s use of short films, music, dance, and original text from the novel to show how the transformative nature of Love, in all its forms, has the potential to help us grow from child to adult, from immaturity to maturity, and from blindness to understanding if we only let it. Marcus is proud to be a part of this amazing and challenging project. |
